Princess Cruises Expands Southeast Asia Operations with the Addition of Discovery and Diamond Ships

Princess Cruises is set to enhance its operations in Southeast Asia with a six-day voyage aboard Discovery Princess, departing from Singapore on October 28, 2025. This journey marks the ship’s first visit to Singapore and includes stops at Port Klang (Kuala Lumpur), Penang, and Langkawi in Malaysia, concluding back in Singapore on November 2.

Launched in March 2022, Discovery Princess can accommodate 3,660 passengers along with over 1,300 crew members and features more than 1,800 staterooms, many with balconies, spread across 19 decks. One of its highlights is the Princess 360 Experience, a unique seven-course multi-sensory dining event available exclusively on Discovery Princess and Enchanted Princess, blending regional cuisine with immersive storytelling.

After its journey in Southeast Asia, Discovery Princess will reposition to Sydney, starting its homeporting season from November 2025 to April 2026, with itineraries throughout Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific.

Additionally, Diamond Princess will begin homeporting in Singapore on December 6, 2025, offering roundtrip cruises ranging from 10 to 21 days, covering destinations in Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, and Cambodia. One of its featured cruises includes a 14-day voyage for Christmas and New Year that stops at notable locations such as Nha Trang, Ho Chi Minh City, and Sihanoukville, with excursions to Angkor Wat. Diamond Princess will also have a 21-day Southeast Asia Grand Adventure cruise, combining itineraries in Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand, as it celebrates Chinese New Year onboard.

The ship is expected to conclude its Southeast Asia engagement with a repositioning cruise to Japan in February 2026, followed by an extended season in Japan through November, offering a total of 50 different sailings across various itineraries.
