Swan Hellenic Achieves Record-Breaking Antarctic Season for 2024–2025
Swan Hellenic has wrapped up its 2024–2025 Antarctic season, celebrating a remarkable 25% surge in guest attendance and a 35% increase in net revenue compared to last year. The season saw nearly 3,000 guests embark on voyages, with stateroom occupancy just below 90%.
One of the highlights this season was the introduction of expert-led snowshoeing excursions, which allowed participants to explore snowy terrains beyond the usual landing sites. These guided sessions, lasting about 90 minutes, were led by two seasoned mountaineers and received positive feedback. They are expected to become a staple of future Antarctic itineraries, depending on snow conditions.
Looking ahead, Swan Hellenic has announced its 2025–2026 Antarctic program, which features 12 expeditions ranging from 9 to 20 nights aboard the SH Vega and SH Diana. The first journey is set to depart from Buenos Aires on November 14, 2025, with the final trip leaving from Ushuaia on March 17, 2026.
Chief Commercial Officer Patrizia Iantorno credited the season’s success to high levels of guest satisfaction with the company’s itineraries, expert guides, culinary offerings, and overall crew experiences. She noted that many guests have recommended Swan Hellenic to others and have returned with family and friends. Iantorno reaffirmed the company’s commitment to elevating the guest experience, highlighted by the introduction of the popular snowshoeing expeditions.
