Carnival Miracle Sets Sail Again: Refurbished Ship Launches Into Exciting European Cruises
Following a comprehensive refurbishment at Navantia in Cadiz, Spain, Carnival Cruise Line’s ship, the Carnival Miracle, has resumed operations and commenced its 2025 summer European season. The vessel reentered service on a recent Sunday from Lisbon, Portugal, welcoming passengers aboard with several technical enhancements and hospitality upgrades aimed at refining onboard experiences.
The drydock project introduced both structural improvements and new guest amenities. A notable addition is the Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge, which pays homage to military personnel and is now featured on 15 ships in the fleet. The Carnival Adventures store has been redesigned for more efficient planning of shoreside excursions.
Key public spaces have also been significantly renovated. The mini-golf course and nightclub received improvements in layout and functionality. Additionally, the casino has been expanded to accommodate more guests and offer updated gaming facilities. Areas for youth, such as the Camp Ocean program and the teens club, have been modernized with new interiors and a wider array of activities. There’s now a venue for the Chef’s Table dining experience on Deck 1, as well as a new Dreams Studio for professional photography sessions. Other facilities such as Cloud 9 Spa, Serenity, Club O2, JavaBlue Cafe, and the Lido Marketplace have also undergone refreshes.
Currently, Carnival Miracle is on a 7-day itinerary from Lisbon, making stops in La Coruña and Bilbao in Spain, and Le Verdon/Bordeaux and Le Havre/Paris in France. The ship will then head to Dover, England, to start a series of extended Northern European voyages that range from 9 to 12 days, exploring the British Isles, Scandinavia, and the Baltic region.
Later in the summer, the vessel is set to reposition towards Civitavecchia/Rome for Mediterranean roundtrips covering destinations in France, Spain, Portugal, Greece, and Turkey. In November, Carnival Miracle will return to the United States to set up a new homeport in Tampa, Florida, where it will operate 6- to 8-day roundtrips in the Caribbean and The Bahamas.
