Ovation of the Seas Kicks Off Inaugural Homeporting Season in Los Angeles with Royal Caribbean International

On May 31st, Royal Caribbean International’s ship Ovation of the Seas is set to arrive at the Port of Los Angeles’ World Cruise Center. This marks the first deployment of a Quantum Class RCI vessel from this Californian port, a significant expansion of the company’s footprint on the West Coast and the introduction of new cruising options to the Mexican Riviera.

Starting June 5th, Ovation OTS will embark on a series of Baja California itineraries. These journeys will include 3-night cruises to Ensenada, 5-night trips with overnight stays in Cabo San Lucas, and 6-night journeys that visit both locales. Each sailing aims to offer travelers a variety of experiences along Mexico’s Pacific coastline.

Ovation of the Seas features advanced onboard amenities such as the North Star observation capsule, providing guests with stunning panoramic ocean views, and the Bionic Bar, where robotic bartenders serve a range of drinks. To celebrate its new deployment, Royal Caribbean is partnering with Shondaland in honor of the media company’s 20th anniversary. Sweepstakes winners will receive a special "Shondaland at Sea" experience, including a private screening and a Q&A session with notable producer Shonda Rhimes along with trivia themed around "Grey’s Anatomy."

The Ovation OTS will join Navigator of the Seas, which operates 3-, 4-, and 7-night Baja California itineraries from Los Angeles through October 2026. This addition enhances Royal Caribbean’s capacity on the West Coast, providing travel advisors with more options for clients looking to explore Mexico’s Pacific coast.

After the summer schedule concludes, Ovation of the Seas is set to relocate to Asia for the winter season, offering short cruises to Malaysia and Thailand from Singapore’s Marina Bay Cruise Centre.
