MSC Magnifica Set for Major Drydock Refurbishment and Reconstruction in 2025
MSC Cruises has revealed a major refurbishment plan for the MSC Magnifica, set to begin later this year. This extensive upgrade is notable for introducing the MSC Yacht Club to the ship for the first time, alongside enhancements to wellness and fitness facilities.
The MSC Yacht Club will encompass five decks and will feature 63 new luxury suites, a private lounge, an exclusive restaurant, and a sun deck complete with a pool. Guests will enjoy 24-hour butler and concierge services, contributing to a high-end cruising experience. Bookings for the Yacht Club are now open, with sailings starting in the summer of 2026.
For the first time, the MSC Yacht Club will be available on itineraries from Warnemünde to various Baltic and Scandinavian destinations, as well as on the 2027 MSC World Cruise.
In addition to the Yacht Club, a new MSC Aurea Spa will be introduced, which will offer facilities such as steam rooms, a salt room, a Kneipp path, emotional showers, and a relaxation area. A state-of-the-art MSC Gym powered by Technogym will also be installed on deck 14, providing the latest fitness equipment for guests.
Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises, highlighted the importance of these upgrades, marking it as the largest refurbishment undertaken by the company in the past decade. He underscored that the MSC Yacht Club is valued by guests for its excellent service and exclusive atmosphere.
The MSC Magnifica, a Musica-class ship, has been operational since 2010. This refurbishment is part of MSC Cruises’ ongoing commitment to enhance guest experiences across its fleet, ensuring that the Magnifica stays aligned with modern standards and quality services for its passengers.
