MSC Magnifica Set for Major Drydock Refurbishment and Reconstruction in 2025

MSC Cruises has unveiled plans for a significant refurbishment of the MSC Magnifica, slated for 2025. This extensive upgrade is set to introduce the MSC Yacht Club for the first time on the ship, along with enhanced wellness and fitness facilities.

The MSC Yacht Club will encompass five decks and feature 63 new luxury suites, a private lounge, an exclusive restaurant, and a sun deck with a pool. Guests from the Yacht Club will enjoy 24-hour butler and concierge services to elevate their cruising experience. Bookings for this exclusive area have already begun, with cruises launching in the summer of 2026.

This refurbishment will allow MSC Magnifica to offer the Yacht Club on new itineraries from Warnemünde, reaching Baltic and Scandinavian destinations, as well as on the 2027 MSC World Cruise.

In addition to the Yacht Club, the refurbishment will introduce a new MSC Aurea Spa, which will include advanced wellness amenities such as steam rooms, a salt room, a Kneipp path, emotional showers, and a relaxation area. A new MSC Gym, featured on deck 14, will provide top-notch fitness equipment powered by Technogym.

Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises, highlighted that this remodeling project is the most extensive undertaken by the company in the last ten years. He emphasized the Yacht Club as a hallmark of their offerings, renowned for exceptional service, elegant spaces, and exclusive facilities.
