Asuka Cruises Unveils Exciting Schedule of Nearly 50 Voyages on New and Classic Vessels

Asuka Cruises, a luxury cruise line under NYK Line, has announced an ambitious schedule of nearly 50 voyages for late 2025 and early 2026, reflecting a commitment to both modernity and traditional elegance.

Bookings opened in May and include a mix of domestic coastal cruises and regional trips to Pacific islands and Taiwan, featuring their new flagship, Asuka III, and the well-known Asuka II.

The Asuka III, built by Germany’s Meyer Werft and delivered in April, will start its maiden season in late July. By October 2025 through January 2026, Asuka III will conduct 53 unique departures, with notable highlights including a 10-night New Year’s cruise from Yokohama to Guam and Saipan. It will also offer a 12-night circumnavigation of Honshu, visiting places like Miyako and Shodoshima.

Departures from Kobe, Osaka, and Nagoya will provide a range of options lasting from 4 to 12 nights, giving passengers flexibility in their travel plans.

Meanwhile, Asuka II, operational since 1990, is set to restart domestic cruises from Yokohama, Osaka, Kobe, and Hakata beginning October 5, after completing its final world cruise in July. This includes a special 10-night Kobe-Taipei New Year’s trip, stopping at Keelung and Kaohsiung.

Both ships will feature themed cruises celebrating gastronomy, classical music, and cultural heritage, enhancing passengers’ experiences. Notably, Asuka III is distinguished as Japan’s largest flagged liner with a gross tonnage of 52,200 GT, featuring LNG power and design elements that pay homage to traditional Japanese art.

With this strategic deployment of both Asuka III and Asuka II, Asuka Cruises aims to provide a seamless blend of contemporary luxury and cultural depth, positioning itself at the forefront of luxury cruising in Japan.
