Port Melbourne Celebrates Notable Double Call with Arrival of Two Silversea Ships
On November 30, 2025, Port Melbourne witnessed a unique event as two Silversea cruise ships, Silver Nova and Silver Moon, docked simultaneously at Station Pier. This marked the first time the sister ships were alongside each other, drawing a crowd of spectators eager to snap photographs of the impressive vessels.
In celebration of this double call, the Port of Melbourne organized a variety of community activities throughout the day. The festivities included live music, local markets, street art, and family-friendly entertainment, which contributed to an increased number of visitors at the pier. Many gathered along the West Finger Pier to enjoy the view, while artist Tom Gerrard painted a mural on-site and roaming performers from Horns of Leroy provided musical entertainment. Organizers expressed their gratitude for the strong turnout and the positive atmosphere it created.
The simultaneous docking also highlighted Silversea’s plans to enhance its presence in the region during the 2025–2026 season, with three of its vessels scheduled to operate in Australian waters.
Following their time in Melbourne, Silver Moon commenced a 16-day voyage to various ports in South Australia and New Zealand, while Silver Nova set off on a 12-night journey to Tasmania before continuing to New Zealand.
