Emerald Kaia: Successful Sea Trials Pave the Way for Its Adriatic Inaugural Season
Emerald Cruises has announced the successful completion of sea trials for its second ocean-going superyacht, Emerald Kaia, which is set to embark on its maiden voyage on May 10. The impressive 110-meter ship will offer 7-night itineraries in the Adriatic, departing roundtrip from Dubrovnik and Split.
Emerald Kaia is designed for small-port access, making it capable of visiting stunning destinations like Hvar, Korčula, and Mljet in Croatia, along with Kotor in Montenegro. The vessel features accommodations for up to 360 guests across 180 staterooms, including 44 Balcony Suites equipped with private outdoor spaces.
The completion of the sea trials marks an essential step in technical preparations leading up to the ship’s final delivery and operational readiness. Emerald Kaia is positioned as an innovative advancement in Emerald’s ocean yacht offerings, merging compact design with enhanced onboard amenities and regionally-focused itineraries.
Passengers will enjoy a variety of public spaces, including an infinity-style swimming pool, a Sky Bar, and a wellness area featuring spa and fitness facilities. Dining options will center around Aqua, the main restaurant, with a specialty venue called Aperitivo. Additionally, a marina platform allows for easy access to water activities such as kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and snorkeling.
Emerald Kaia joins the ranks of its sister ship, Emerald Azzurra, launched in 2022 and currently operating in the Mediterranean and Red Sea. Together, these two vessels create Emerald Cruises’ ocean yacht collection, emphasizing smaller ships and destination-focused sailing experiences.
