CCL Carnival Cruise Line Expands Express Dining Program Fleetwide: What You Need to Know

CCL-Carnival Cruise Line has announced the launch of a new dining option named Express Dining, aimed at offering a quicker evening meal service without compromising the quality and presentation that guests expect from the cruise line’s main dining rooms.

The Express Dining program has initially rolled out on 15 ships, with plans to extend it to the entire fleet by the end of May. This new service allows for a multi-course dinner served in under an hour, catering to parties of up to six guests.

Christine Duffy, the company president, highlighted that this initiative sprang from passenger feedback, which emphasized a desire for greater flexibility in how time is spent while onboard. Positive responses during the pilot phase prompted the decision to expand the service fleet-wide. The aim is to keep the same level of cuisine and attentive service characteristic of traditional dining while allowing guests more time for other onboard activities.

Express Dining is designed to complement existing dining options rather than replace them. Passengers can still opt for the more leisurely standard service while having the option to choose this accelerated dining experience, which features a similar menu but with a few fewer choices. Dietary requests and special meal requirements will still be accommodated.

For those utilizing the cruise line’s flexible dining arrangement, called Carnival HUB App Your Time Dining, Express Dining can be selected through the app.

This dining expansion is part of a wider effort by Carnival Cruise Line to offer a greater variety of food and beverage options and enhanced flexibility in guests’ onboard experiences. A similar concept, Family Express service on the Lido Deck, was successfully tested on Carnival Vista before being extended fleet-wide based on favorable guest feedback.
