Seabourn Encore Makes Historic Maiden Call to the Continental USA

Seabourn Encore, a luxury cruise ship operated by Seabourn, made its first call to the continental United States on April 9, 2025, docking in Long Beach, California. This visit marked a significant operation milestone for the cruise line, allowing local guests and travel advisors an exclusive chance to tour the ship.

The port stop serves as a transitional point as Seabourn Encore prepares for its repositioning towards Europe. The ship’s upcoming itinerary features a passage through the Panama Canal and a transatlantic crossing, leading to a summer sailing schedule in the Mediterranean and Adriatic Seas.

Mark Tamis, President of Seabourn, described this arrival as a noteworthy occasion within the vessel’s current sailing program. He highlighted that the voyage from Long Beach will take guests through diverse regions, including multiple stops in Mexico, Costa Rica, and Colombia, before proceeding to Europe.

After concluding its Mediterranean season, Seabourn Encore has plans for an extensive westbound cruise beginning in November 2025. This journey will span over 18,500 nautical miles, traversing two oceans and five continents, and the ship will journey through the Atlantic Ocean, the Southern Caribbean, the Panama Canal, and into the Pacific Ocean, ultimately aiming for Japanese waters.
