Lindblad Appoints Keith Taylor as Interim Chief Maritime Officer

Lindblad Expeditions has appointed Keith Taylor as the interim Chief Maritime Officer, effective immediately. In this capacity, Taylor will manage the company’s global maritime operations, guiding a team of professionals responsible for marine and technical functions, safety, environmental stewardship, and compliance.

CEO Natalya Leahy expressed confidence in Taylor’s leadership, noting their shared professional history and his commitment to operational excellence and safety. Taylor, excited about his new role, stated, “I will bring that passion to everything I do,” emphasizing his dedication to delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Before taking on this role, Taylor had a distinguished career in the maritime industry, including serving as Executive Vice President of Fleet Operations for Holland America Line, Princess Cruises, Seabourn, and P&O Cruises Australia, where he oversaw the operations for a fleet of 41 cruise ships. With nearly ten years at the Carnival Corporation, he managed various operations including safety, environmental, and technical aspects.

Taylor’s background also includes a significant 30-year service with the U.S. Coast Guard, where he held various command positions, including that of Commander of the 13th Coast Guard District. His extensive experience and leadership capabilities made him a fitting choice to replace Tyler Skarda, who recently departed from Lindblad Expeditions after holding the Chief Maritime Officer position.
