Princess Cruises Revamps Beverage Package Policies Across Its Fleet

Princess Cruises has announced new guidelines for its onboard beverage packages, which will take effect for all voyages departing on or after May 9, 2025. This initiative seeks to enhance the terms of its Princess Plus and Princess Premier packages, ensuring uniform compliance across the entire fleet.

Under the updated policies, each guest will be restricted to ordering one drink at a time, regardless of whether they are part of a beverage package. Sharing of beverage packages is now strictly prohibited; guests cannot use their package allowances to order drinks for others. If a guest wishes to buy drinks for fellow passengers, those drinks must be purchased at full price. Additionally, double pours of spirits will not be allowed, although double pours of wine by the glass are still permitted.

Princess Cruises has directed its Food and Beverage leadership to train crew members adequately regarding these changes prior to the implementation date. The primary goal is to provide consistent guest service while upholding the value of the beverage packages.

The Plus and Premier packages have been well-received by guests for bundling drinks with other amenities. However, the cruise line has experienced issues with guests trying to bypass package limits or share benefits. The enforcement of these new rules aims to curtail misuse while maintaining a premium experience for all guests.

Those booked on voyages departing on or after the effective date will still have access to all items covered by their beverage packages, provided they follow the updated guidelines.
